Bluebirds Across Nebraska Workshop Information

If you are interested in attracting bluebirds to your property, join Bluebirds Across Nebraska (BAN) for one of four upcoming workshops on attracting bluebirds.  All workshops will be from 2:00 PM to approximately 3:30 PM.

            2/2/2013 - Grampa’s Crossing, Hwy 136, Deshler, NE

2/3/2013 – Gage County Extension Office, Gage County Fairgrounds, Hwy 136, Beatrice, NE

2/9/2013 – Friend Community Building, 147 Main Street, Friend, NE

2/10/2013 – Roca Community Center, 15545 B Street, Roca, NE

The workshops will open with an introduction to bluebirds.  There will be a discussion about the various bluebird nest boxes available, mounting poles, box location and installation, and how to monitor your bluebird boxes with greater success.  The workshops will wrap up with a question and answer session.

Although there is no fee to attend the workshops, you might want to take the opportunity to become a member of BAN while attending.  You will receive two cedar nest boxes with mounting poles along with a three-year membership for only $25.00.  Nest boxes will also be available at the workshops at reduced prices.  Walk-ins are welcome, but with limited seating, you may want to make a reservation by calling Steve Eno at 402-783-3011 or by email at info@bbne.org.

If you have one acre or 180 acres, chances are you can attract nesting bluebirds.  So plan to attend to learn how you too can help this beautiful bird survive.
