Al Batt of rural Hartland, Minnesota is a nationally known writer, speaker, storyteller, and humorist. Al writes a number of nationally syndicated cartoon strips including “Dennis the Menace,” “Marmaduke,” and “The Lockhorns.” In addition, he writes several weekly humor and nature columns for many newspapers and does a regular radio show about nature. Wild Bird Magazine’s “Birder of the Year” is just one of the many awards he has received.
